Duration: 06-12 Months Contract
Posses Transport Engineer level qualifications 1-2 along with the ability to manage more complex projects with minimal or no supervision due to the significant level of experience in this area and thorough (near SME knowledge) of their particular transport engineer functional area (i.e., access)
1) The position is in Broadband Engineering environment. Here s what that means:
i. Have to know the technology for DLCs including the Central Office Terminal (COT).
ii. Have to be able to design the technology into a working network.
i. Have to be able to understand Oracle Client records for:
1. Equipment inventory
3. Circuits both copper and fiber
ii. Have to be able to create records in Oracle Client
iii. Have to create a Job Package with:
1. Drawings (Visio)
2. Bill of Materials
3. Installation Instructions
4. Cable Running lists
5. Restatement (cut/paste) of job location, costs and reasons (trigger)
iv. Communicate/Clarify any questions on the above with Field Operations &/or contract installers.
i. Have to write funding requests specifying locations, costs and reasons
ii. Have to track costs and forecast what month the invoices will hit our budget
Special Requirements/ Certifications: Depending on the transport engineer functional area (i.e., access), the candidate must possess significant specific experience in their functional area and become an SME at level 3 for their functional area.
Education: College degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent or 6 to 9 years of equivalent relevant professional and educational experience (HS or associate degree)
Experience: 0-4 years depending on Education Level
